Even though the consummation of fluids differs for both men and women, on average we should aim to drink 2 litres of water a day, and try to avoid caffeinated drinks such as coke and coffee. These types of drinks can dehydrate you as they have added sugar and caffeine in them.
Considering our brain is mainly made up of water, drinking water also helps us to perform better during the day. It also helps us stay focused and alert. Water can play a vital part in promoting weight loss and decrease bloating. If you’re sitting at your desk for over 6 hours a day, then you are more prone to gain weight as you’re not getting up and moving regularly. Water is also vital for flushing out toxins and reduces the risk of kidney stones. So make sure you drink plenty, as it also can reduce headaches and migraines- a common symptom in a working environment where you’re staring at a screen all day.
